WINTER
    SCHOOL

There are those who are forever tugging at the leashes of ordered life, eager to venture into the unknown. They must be always on the frontier of human endeavor, submitting what is old and accepted to conditions that are new and untried. The frontier is thus the seed plot where new...types of thoughts, are germinated.

-Carl Becker in his essay Kansas, 1910

Professor of History, University of Kansas

Curriculum

The Winter School explores the historical and philosophical foundations of education. The exhibition History, Notice Me asks “What is the goal of school?” and “Can it be neutral?”.  To accompany this exhibition we created an arts-based video curriculum featuring Kansas History.
